Concrete Grade M35: Strength, Mix Ratio, and Uses
M35 concrete reaches a characteristic cube strength of 35 newtons per square millimeter at 28 days. Here is what goes into it and where it belongs.
Characteristic strength: 35 N/mm² cube at 28 days
| Grade designation | M35 |
| Characteristic cube strength | 35 N/mm² |
| Approximate cylinder strength | 28 N/mm² |
| Mix | design mix only |
| Typical cement content | commonly 360 to 420 kg per cubic meter, by design |
| Typical uses | prestressed concrete, bridge decks, structural precast |
Notes for design and site
M35 appears where early strength and tight quality control pay for themselves: precast yards demolding on a daily cycle and prestressing beds that need strength before transfer. Expect superplasticizers, controlled curing, and cube results tracked on control charts rather than hoped for.
